Becoming And Belonging

We are excited to kick off another semester of Becoming And Belonging at Lighthouse Church!

This fall, we’re creating more space for fellowship, connection, and growing together. Through our Wednesday Night GrowGroups, there’s an opportunity for everyone to study God’s Word, build relationships, and take the next step in their faith journey. 

Childcare (newborns - 5th Grade) will be available at Lighthouse Church for children whose parents are participating in Wednesday Night Discipleship. Children also have the opportunity to attend Frontier Kids, which meets at Hillsdale Presbyterian Church.

REGISTRATION FOR BECOMING AND BELONGING FALL 2026

 

Wednesday Night Becoming & Belonging Schedule

5:00–5:45 PM | Dinner & Fellowship

Dinner is served. To-go boxed dinners will be available after 5:30 PM.

5:45–5:50 PM | Transition to Worship

5:50–6:10 PM | Worship & God Stories

A time to worship together and celebrate how God is working in our lives.

6:15–7:15 PM | GrowGroups

A time to study God's Word, build relationships, and grow together in Christ.

7:15–8:00 PM | Dessert & Fellowship

A time to linger after GrowGroups, continue conversations, celebrate what God is doing, and enjoy meaningful connections with one another.

 

 

 

Alpha

Led by Brian Cooke and Bruce Jenkins

Materials Needed: Workbook will be provided by Lighthouse Church

 

Have questions about faith or want to explore the basics of Christianity in a welcoming environment? Alpha provides a place to ask questions, share thoughts, and connect with others through meaningful conversations about life and faith.

 

Found and Woven

Led by Lisa Weidman and Shelly Thomas

Materials Needed: Book will be provided by Lighthouse Church

 

 

A confidential GrowGroup offering healing and hope after an abortion experience. Through biblical truth, compassionate support, and a safe community, women can find restoration, grace, and freedom in Christ.

 

 

Grief Comfort

Led by Josh Simons

Materials Needed: Book will be provided by Lighthouse Church

 

Grief can leave us feeling broken and alone, but we don’t have to walk through it by ourselves. This GrowGroup offers biblical encouragement, support, and a caring community as we seek God’s comfort and healing through seasons of loss.

 

He Calls Me Daughter

Led by Christina Bertrand and Kim Handy

Materials Needed: Participants will need the book, He Calls Me Daughter: Official Curriculum Edition: Healing the Father Wound, which may be purchased individually or ordered through the church for $10 per person.

 

Inspired by the film He Calls Me Daughter, this GrowGroup offers a safe and supportive space for women to explore healing from father wounds and discover the truth of their identity as beloved daughters of God. Through biblical encouragement, honest conversation, and community, participants will be invited to experience God’s healing, restoration, and the love of their Heavenly Father.  

 

Love & Respect

Led by Ron and Tammy Dowd

Materials Needed:  Participants will need the Love & Respect Study Set (Book + Workbook), which may be purchased individually or ordered through the church for $20 per person.

 

Strengthen your marriage through Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. This couples GrowGroup explores how God designed husbands and wives to better understand, communicate, and love one another in ways that build stronger, Christ-centered marriages.

 

Open Bible

Led by Pastor Kirk Johnston

Materials Needed: Your Bible, Journal, and apps/study tools

 

 

Join this interactive coed Bible study as we continue Rooted in the Word: The Bible Recap. Together, we’ll explore Scripture, grow in our understanding of God’s Word, and encourage one another as we become more like Christ.

 

 

Questioning Evangelism

Led by Alan Sargent

Materials Needed: Participants will need the Questioning Evangelism book by Randy Newman, which may be purchased individually or ordered through the church for $20 per person.

 

 

Do you want to feel more prepared for spiritual conversations? Through Randy Newman’s book Questioning Evangelism, we’ll learn how to engage others with thoughtful questions, gracious conversations, and a deeper understanding of how to share our faith.

 

 

Salty Sisters

Led by Roberta Briley

Materials Needed: Your Bible, Journal, and apps/study tools

 

This women’s GrowGroup is a place to connect, grow, and dig deeper into God’s Word through Rooted in the Word: The Bible Recap. Come enjoy meaningful discussion, encouragement, and fellowship with other women seeking to grow in faith.
